ADAC Cyclassics Rookie Program 2026
12 Weeks of Structured Preparation for the ADAC Cyclassics
The Rookie Program is designed for beginners who want to prepare for the ADAC Cyclassics 2026 in a structured and supportive environment. Whether you are new to road cycling, looking to build confidence on your bike, or seeking guidance with your training, this program is the perfect starting point.
Over the course of 12 weeks, participants will learn essential cycling skills, training fundamentals, group riding techniques, and race-specific preparation. The program combines practical experience with expert guidance to help riders develop their fitness, confidence, and cycling knowledge.

Program Schedule
The Rookie Program training plan is designed specifically for beginners and provides a safe and structured introduction to cycling training. The focus is on developing proper riding technique, building a solid fitness foundation, and gradually increasing training load. This approach allows participants to adapt step by step to regular training and gain confidence on the bike.

If you would like to, you can secure your place at the ADAC Cyclassics directly when registering for the Rookie Program.
Not sure yet whether you want to take part in the ADAC Cyclassics? No problem – registration for the Rookie Program is also possible without purchasing an event entry.
Please note that participation in the Rookie Program 2026 is limited. The number of available places is restricted, regardless of whether you register with or without an ADAC Cyclassics entry.
The most important questions about the event
Where are the start and finish of the ADAC Cyclassics?
The finish of all races is on Mönckebergstraße. The location for the starting grids for the ADAC Cyclassics 2027 will be published at a later point.
Where can I park my motorhome?
It is not possible to park your motorhome directly at the start in Hamburg. Please book a space at an official campsite.
Where can I park in the city center?
Public parking spaces in the city center of Hamburg are limited and availability is further restricted by the event. It is generally advisable to arrive by bike or public transport. Those who cannot do without a car can choose between various parking garages in the city center.
When does registration open?
Registration for the ADAC Cyclassics 2027 opens late autumn 2026. Be among the first to hear about the opening date, and pre-register now!
Which bikes are allowed?
Whether racing bike, mountain bike, trekking bike or city bike. All types of bikes are welcome at the ADAC Cyclassics! However, please note the safety requirements and specified minimum speeds. Pedelecs (e-bikes) are only permitted on the 60km route. Participation with a tandem is also possible, please note that you must register in the special registration categories for this. Recumbents and handbikes may also participate, but will be categorized independently of their expected speed and the special provisions in the conditions of participation must also be observed here. Cargo bikes and fixies are not permitted for safety reasons.
Can I take part in the ADAC Cyclassics with a pedelec (e-bike)?
Participation with a pedelec is only permitted on the ADAC Cyclassics 60km lap, provided that the motor assistance is limited to a maximum of 25 km/h. S-pedelecs are not permitted. S-pedelecs are not permitted.
How will the starting blocks be allocated?
The starting blocks will be allocated on the basis of the specified average speed and previous participation in the ADAC Cyclassics. Participants who are taking part in a cycling event for the first time and state an expected average speed of faster than 40 km/h may have to submit a verifiable result. Registration must be completed by August 13, 2024 in order to be entitled to the front starting blocks. Anyone who registers after this date will then be placed in one of the rear starting blocks according to capacity, regardless of the average speed stated.

Where can I find my certificate?
All participants can access their certificates online via the results list and print them out themselves.
Who will be honored at the award ceremony?
The top 3 male/female finishers will be honored at the award ceremony. Honors and possible prizes will only be awarded during the award ceremony on site, there is no right to receive prizes at a later date.
How does the team ranking work?
The team ranking is based solely on the teams formed during the registration process, regardless of club or company affiliation. The ranking for each route is determined by adding together the fastest net times of 3 female or 4 male participants. The differentiation is due to the different minimum team sizes for women and men.

New Registration Process for the Cyclub!
The Cyclub of the ADAC Cyclassics is launching the upcoming season with a new registration system.
To ensure that your participations continue to be recorded correctly and assigned to your personal status, a new registration is required for all existing and new members.
Important:
Even if you were already listed as a Cyclub member in the past, you must now register again to remain part of the Cyclub.
Registration is, of course, free of charge and only takes a few minutes.
After registering, you will receive your personal Cyclub ID, which will automatically assign your future participations to your status (Aluminium, Carbon, Titanium, or Steel).

Your race - your pictures
It's easy to find your pictures:
Make sure that your start numbers are correctly attached to the handlebars, helmet and seat post, are clearly visible and, in particular, are not covered by anything. Please take a look at the instructions!
Your pictures will be posted online on the platform Getpica on the evening of the race day. You can access your personal pictures in 3 steps:
- Register with your email address on the website Getpica
- Enter your personal PICA code. This is the alphanumeric code on your race number - e.g. AB123XY45 - you will find it next to the QR code.
- You will now be asked to take a selfie. With the help of this selfie, all those pictures can be searched and reassigned on which the start number and/or the QR code was not so easy to read and a personal assignment was previously impossible. The selfie is used exclusively for this search purpose at this event and is automatically deleted once the complete assignment process has been completed.
And now you can view your photos
Around 100,000 photos are expected to be taken - on the course and at the finish. Uploading the pictures to the platform Getpica will take some time. So when you first check in to the platform using your PICA code, it may be that not all the pictures are online yet. But don't worry: the other pictures will be automatically assigned to you and you will receive a message when ALL the pictures are actually online.
Registering on Getpica and entering an alphanumeric code instead of a start number guarantees that every athlete's privacy is respected in accordance with data protection regulations.
For the ADAC Cyclassics on August 16, 2026, selected hotels in Hamburg are offering discounted rates for all participants and accompanying persons. Due to the proximity of the hotels to the start and finish area, participants can roll up to the starting line on the morning of the race day in complete relaxation.
Calling all corporate teams: Ride together at the ADAC Cyclassics!
The mass participation races at the ADAC Cyclassics Hamburg on 15 August 2027 offer the perfect stage for corporate teams – whether as part of a company sports initiative, team-building activity, or a unique networking experience in the heart of Hamburg.
With different distances, the event is ideal for both beginners and ambitious amateur cyclists. The course runs on fully closed roads through Hamburg’s vibrant city centre, along the River Elbe, and into the scenic northern German countryside.
