The ADAC Cycling Tour takes you onto the exact same course as the world's elite. No shortened version, no alternative amateur route – you'll ride the very same roads as the professionals through Heilbronn and the surrounding region.
Whether you're a passionate recreational cyclist, taking part for the first time, or riding as a member of a cycling club, you'll experience the thrill of real racing, a rewarding sporting challenge, and the unique atmosphere of an international cycling event.

The ultimate challenge on the elite route
The ADAC Cycling Tour Classic is the premier distance for riders who want to experience the full character of a demanding race. Covering 118 kilometres, the course challenges your endurance, race strategy, and teamwork.
Set against the varied landscape around Heilbronn, the route features fast sections, demanding climbs, and the very same roads where the professional riders will later battle for every second.
The Classic is designed for ambitious cyclists looking for a true sporting challenge and the opportunity to be part of an authentic cycling experience.
ADAC Cycling Tour Sprint
Your introduction to the elite experience
The ADAC Cycling Tour Sprint combines a rewarding sporting challenge with the excitement of a major cycling event. Covering 58 kilometres, you'll enjoy the same unique atmosphere as the riders in the longer distance and the professional peloton.
The route takes you through the beautiful countryside around Heilbronn and features a balanced course profile that appeals to both ambitious recreational cyclists and experienced amateur riders.
Perfect for anyone who wants to experience the thrill of racing, ride together with others, and be part of a truly unforgettable day of cycling.
Please note: Some sections of both routes are only open to cyclists during the ADAC Cycling Tour. Outside the event, these roads may not be accessible by bike or may only be accessible with restrictions.
ADAC Cycling Tour 2026
In 2026, the ADAC Cycling Tour will take place in Heilbronn – which will also host the grand finale of the Lidl Deutschland Tour!
Online registration is closed. However, registration in Heilbronn is still possible:

Two route options are available at the ADAC Cycling Tour:
Classic route: 118 km
Sprint route: 58 km
These routes are perfect for both ambitious riders and relaxed cycling enthusiasts. Before the pros take on the region, all participants get the chance to ride on closed roads themselves.
A special highlight: the finish in the official pro race area – just like the top stars! The unique atmosphere of the Lidl Deutschland Tour makes this day an unforgettable experience for everyone.

When does registration open?
We expect that registration will open at the end of the year. If you want to be among the first to hear about registration, you can pre-register already now.
Which bikes are allowed?
Whether it's a road bike, mountain bike, trekking bike, or city bike – all types of bicycles are welcome at the ADAC Cycling Tour!
However, please observe the safety requirements and minimum speed limits.
Tandems are also allowed – but you must register in the dedicated tandem category.
Recumbent bikes and handbikes are also permitted. They will be categorized independently of expected speed, and special rules outlined in the participation terms apply here.
Cargo bikes and fixies are not allowed for safety reasons.
Can I participate in the ADAC Cycling Tour with a pedelec (e-bike)?
Yes, pedelecs (e-bikes) are allowed at the ADAC Cycling Tour.
However, they will not be included in the official overall ranking.

Your Race – Your Photos
Here’s how to easily find your pictures:
Make sure your race numbers are correctly placed on your handlebars, helmet, and seat post – clearly visible and not covered by anything. Please check the instructions for proper placement!
Your first photos will be available on the evening of the race via the platform www.getpica.com
.
It may take a few days until all photos are fully uploaded – we’ll notify you via email once the complete gallery is online.
Follow these 3 steps to get your personal photos:
Register with your email address on www.getpica.com
Enter your personal PICA code – This is the alphanumeric code printed on your race number, e.g., AB123XY45. You’ll find it next to the QR code.
Take a selfie – This helps identify you in photos where your bib number or QR code may not be clearly visible. Your selfie is used only for this purpose and will be automatically deleted once the full photo-matching process is completed.
And that’s it – your photos will be ready to view!
Approximately 25,000 photos will be taken – along the course and at the finish line. Uploading all of them to www.getpica.com
