Edge Knoll farm is not a working farm but we are in the centre of 200 acres of grass and wheat fields. The river Wear runs around the farm and there are many walks outside your front door. A 2 km farm track leads to the farm and there are long distance walks as well as easy strolls to suit all ages. Hamsterley Forset is only two m iles away with dedicatd horse riding, walking and cross country mountain biking tracks currently being laid out(2005). The woldlife is all around the cottages all year round and the river Wear is one of the better salmon and trout rivers in England.
