A place of bikes, dykes, windmills and blazing flower fields, much of the Netherlands (incorrectly referred to as Holland), lies below sea level. But its hardly flat and dull with its distincitve architecture, canals, historic cities and fine art, coupled with the famously liberal and pragmatic attitude of the Dutch.
